Key figures: Thailand Rehab Price Index 2026

From our survey of the prices that addiction-treatment centers in Thailand publish, checked on 11 October 2026. The full method and caveats are on the Price Index page.

  • US$11,834 is the median published entry price for 28 days of residential addiction treatment, across the 8 centers that publish a current 28 to 30 day price on their own website. The range is US$8,500 to US$21,933, and the middle half sits between US$9,925 and US$14,312.
  • Adding directory estimates for centers that publish no price gives a median of US$11,667 across 15 centers (range US$5,000 to US$21,933).
  • We checked 43 centers: 36 private and 7 government. Only 13 private centers publish a price on their own website, and only 8 of those publish a current 28 to 30 day addiction price. 14 publish no usable price anywhere.
  • Medical detox is fully included at 3 of 8 centers and partly included at 5 of 8. Doctor or psychiatrist care is stated as included at 6 of 8.
  • Stays of 8 to 12 weeks cost 8.5% to 15.1% less per 28 days at the centers that publish several lengths.
  • The one government institution that publishes a fee schedule, Thanyarak Khon Kaen Hospital, charges non-Thai nationals 600 baht a day for nursing during treatment, twice the 300 baht charged to Thai patients.

Prices are as published by centers, not audited, and converted at THB 33.558 per US$1 (Bank of Thailand reference rate, 9 October 2026). The headline set is small, so please describe the figures as published prices rather than what patients pay.

Data

Download the aggregate data (CSV, 60 rows): coverage, the price distribution, tiers, regional medians, what the price includes, typical extras, longer-stay savings and the government fee schedule. Each row gives its measure, unit and the number of centers it is based on.

The file contains aggregates only. We do not publish center-level prices or name private centers, and we report regional figures only where at least three centers publish prices.

About Thai Recovery Guide

Thai Recovery Guide is an independent website that explains addiction treatment in Thailand for people in Australia, the UK, the US and elsewhere, and for their families: what it costs, how to check that a center is licensed, where the centers are, and the visa, medication and insurance questions to settle before travelling. Every guide lists its sources and the date it was last checked. We accept no payments, referral fees or advertising from treatment centers, and our live guides do not name or rank private centers. Medical review of the guides is pending. Read our editorial policy and advertising disclosure.
